NC Christian Writers Conference was Amazing!!

Oh how I love writers conferences!! NCCWC did not disappoint! Incredible teaching, inspiration (like a revival for writers), an atmosphere that propelled new friendships to form, business connections to be made, and experiences to treasure and motivate writers to follow the dream God placed in our hearts! What a blessing!

This conference was held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Liberty, NC. You won't find a finer group of people than the ones in this congregation! Their heart for service was unparalleled! And oh, do they love their pastor, Andy Clapp. And that precious man of God was serving his heart out. Even his children ministered to the faculty and writers in attendance. They sure deserved a little book treat!

Aren't they just adorable!?!

Many thanks to Serious Writer, NC Christian Writers Conference, and Mt. Zion Baptist Church!

Grover, Gracie, and a Grandbaby!

Grover, Gracie, and I visited one of our favorite places!!!

Metrolina Christian Academy holds a special place in my heart!

While visiting their Early Education Center today, I had a very special little helper...
one of my own Grandbabies!!
She recited a lengthy passage from Luke 2 as a part of the reading.
Yes, I'm one proud Grandmommy!!!

Christmastime is Here!

What a JOY to spend time with the amazing listeners at FBCM!
Grover and Gracie enjoyed meeting new friends! There they are in the back on the shelf!
They had fun listening in and getting lots of attention!
I feel sure it made Jesus really happy to hear sweet voices singing in honor of His birthday as they heard the message of the true meaning of Christmas!

I Love My Community...and Reading!!!

Looking so forward to this!!!
Story Time- Sunday, Dec 3rd- 4:00pm
Christmas in Amazing Grace Acres” will be read by author Kristi M. Butler who lives in Lake Park. She will be on site to share her Christmas story with us. Join us to find what happens when Grover Groundhog awakes to the loud “Fa-la-la-la’s” and strange goings on above ground! Excitedly waking his sister, Gracie, the two cautiously trek up to the window of the home beside their burrows. Both are amazed by what they see! Will they be discovered by the humans? Or will they discover the true meaning of Christmas?
Kristi will have books available for purchase after story time and will be glad to sign your copy. The books are only $10 with $2 from each book sold supporting the Toys for Tots drive.
Reading and Book Signing at the Community Center
The Village of Lake Park!

This will be followed by Gingerbread House Creations, Tree Lighting, Horse-drawn Sleigh Rides, and Cookies and Hot Chocolate with Santa!!

*Update*

And it was Oh. So. Merry!!!
We had so much fun! Story time brought such sweet, wonderful listeners! They made adorable gingerbread houses afterward! Christmas carol singing with neighbors, hearing the Christmas story from God's Word, the Christmas tree lighting, horse-drawn sleigh rides under the Super Moon, scrumptious homemade cookies and hot chocolate, and visits with Santa. What a delight!

What a joy and privilege to share the love of Jesus...even through groundhogs!
